# Settings: Configure Your Account and Messaging Defaults

> Manage your AgentNode account details, phone number, messaging preferences, and sending schedule — the AI works from these settings every time it sends.

Settings is where you tell AgentNode who you are and how you work. Two of the settings here — what you message leads about and when you send — are the AI's working instructions. Every personalised message AgentNode drafts draws on those two inputs, so keeping them accurate and specific is the most direct way to make your outreach sound like you.

## Account details

Your account details include your name, work email address, and the sign-in method you use to access AgentNode.

AgentNode supports two sign-in methods:

* **Magic code** — you enter your email address and AgentNode sends a one-time login code. No password to remember or reset.
* **Password** — a traditional email-and-password combination if you prefer a persistent credential.

You can update your name and email address from the Account section of Settings at any time. If you need to change your sign-in method, update it there as well.

## Your phone number

AgentNode sends messages from your own number, not a shared platform number. When a lead receives a text, it comes from a number associated with you directly — so replies land in your AgentNode Inbox and the conversation stays tied to your account.

Manage your phone number from the Settings page. If you need to update or provision a new number, you'll find those options in the same section. Because your number is registered to your campaigns and outreach, any change may require re-registration with carriers — AgentNode walks you through that process when it applies.

## Messaging preferences

Messaging preferences are the two settings AgentNode actively works from every time it drafts or sends a message.

### What you message about

This setting describes the topics and context for your outreach — for example, market updates in your area, check-ins with past clients, new listing alerts, or price-reduction notices. The more specific you are here, the better the AI can stay on-brand and relevant for each lead.

Think of this as a brief for the AI: your tone, your typical conversation starters, your market focus, and anything you always or never want to bring up. You can be as detailed as you like.

### When you send

This setting controls the days and times AgentNode is allowed to send messages. Set your active sending window to reflect your business hours and your leads' expectations — for example, weekdays between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. local time.

Configuring your sending window serves two purposes: it keeps your outreach professional, and it helps you respect do-not-disturb hours that matter both for lead experience and for SMS compliance. AgentNode will not send messages outside the window you configure.

## Changing settings mid-flight

You can update your messaging preferences at any time. Changes take effect on the **next message** AgentNode sends — conversations that are already in progress are not retroactively altered. If a campaign is running when you update your "what you message about" setting, the new instructions apply from the next outbound message onward, not to anything already sent.

This means you can refine your preferences gradually without disrupting active threads. Leads mid-conversation won't notice a gap or contradiction — the transition is smooth.

<Note>
Your messaging preferences are the AI's working instructions. The more specific you are — your tone, your typical topics, your market area — the better it represents you.
