# AgentNode Account Setup: Messaging, Number, and Sign-In

> Set up your AgentNode account details, configure your messaging preferences, manage your phone number, and personalise how the AI represents you.

Your account settings are the foundation AgentNode builds every message from. The name and voice the AI uses, the topics it's allowed to discuss, and the times it sends — all of it flows from what you configure here. Spending a few minutes getting this right means every automated message AgentNode sends on your behalf will sound like you, not a bot.

## Account details

Your account is identified by your name and work email address. AgentNode uses your name in outgoing messages so replies feel personal to the recipients who know you.

* **Name** — enter the name you use professionally with your clients. This appears as the sender identity in conversations.
* **Work email** — this is your login identifier. Use the email address you check regularly, as sign-in codes are sent here.
* **Email confirmation** — every new account must confirm its email address before it can be used. Enter the code AgentNode sends to your inbox during signup to complete verification.

## Messaging preferences

During signup, AgentNode asks you two questions that become its core working instructions:

**1. What do you message leads about?**
Describe the types of conversations you typically have with leads — buying, selling, upsizing, downsizing, investment properties, a particular neighbourhood, or a combination. The more specific you are, the more relevant the AI's drafts will be.

**2. When do you send?**
Set the days of the week and the time window you're comfortable with AgentNode sending messages on your behalf. This keeps your outreach professional and ensures leads hear from you at appropriate hours.

The AI treats these preferences as its operating brief — it will not message outside your defined times and will stay on the topics you've outlined. Both settings can be updated at any time in **Settings** from the main navigation.

## Your number

AgentNode sends all messages from your own phone number, not a shared pool. When a lead receives a text from you, it comes from the same number they'd expect to see from you — which means replies feel natural and your professional identity stays consistent across every conversation. Your number is configured as part of account setup and is shown in **Settings** under the **Number** section.

## Changing settings

To update any of the above at any time, open **Settings** from the main navigation. From there you can edit your account details, adjust your messaging preferences, and manage your phone number configuration.

<Note>
  Changes to your messaging preferences take effect on the next message AgentNode sends — in-progress conversations are not retroactively changed.
</Note>

## Sign-in options

AgentNode gives you two ways to sign in:

* **Email code** — enter your email address and AgentNode sends you a one-time sign-in code. No password required. This is the default method and works on any device.
* **Password** — if you prefer a traditional login, set a password from your account details page after your email is confirmed. You can then sign in with your email and password instead.

On either method, tick **Keep me signed in** on the login screen to stay authenticated across sessions so you're not prompted to verify every time you open AgentNode.
